Vikings, T-Wolves win on road

Alex Reyes scored a touchdown in each half as Coeur d’Alene knocked off host Southridge 33-14 in a non-league contest on Friday. Reyes finished with 70 yards on just four carries.

After leading 14-7 at halftime, the Vikings (6-2) outscored Southridge 19-7 to put the game out of reach. Shea Vucinich added 49 rushing yards and a touchdown and 81 yards passing in the win.

In other non-league action, Lake City (8-0) scored 31 unanswered points after giving up a touchdown on Moses Lake’s (5-3) first offensive drive and won 38-21. Garren Hammons threw three touchdown passes in the second quarter for the Timberwolves after Moses Lake’s first score.

Inland Empire League

Devon Brown caught four passes for 138 yards and scored twice to lead host Lewiston (4-4, 1-1) to a 41-20 win over Post Falls (3-5, 0-2). The Bengals’ Paul Merrill ran for 130 yards on 15 carries and scored a touchdown in the win. Jon Aune led Post Falls with 75 rushing yards on nine carries and a touchdown.

Intermountain League

Nick Puckett scored four rushing touchdowns as Timberlake beat host St. Maries 63-14. Josh Malloy added two rushing touchdowns for the Tigers (8-0, 4-0), who raced out to a 56-6 halftime lead in the rout. Marc Grubham scored on the ground and through the air for the Lumberjacks (0-8, 0-4). With the win, the Tigers clinch the IML title and will host Priest River in a playoff game Friday … Bonners Ferry (4-4, 3-1) shut out host Kellogg (32-6, 1-3) 35-0. The Badgers are the No. 2 seed in the league and will play at Snake River Valley League champion Fruitland.

North Star League

Anthony Cranford was 12 of 19 passing for 222 yards and two touchdowns as host Kootenai beat Lakeside (0-7, 0-4) 40-8 at Harrison. The Warriors (5-2, 3-0) built a 28-0 halftime lead and never looked back. Ben Shannon finished with 62 yards rushing and one touchdown for Kootenai and Cody Crock added 63 yards receiving and a score. … In other league action, Wallace (4-4, 3-2) beat visiting Clark Fork (3-5, 1-4) 69-26.

Northeast A League

Scott Ferguson caught five passes for 98 yards and scored Freeman’s first two touchdowns of the game as the Scotties (7-1, 7-1) topped visiting Lakeside 20-6. Freeman quarterback Andrew Dresback was 8 of 13 passing for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Travis Corigliano was 14 of 23 passing and threw a touchdown to Scot Richards in the fourth quarter for the Eagles’ (3-5, 3-5) only score. … Mike Day scored on touchdown runs of 5, 65 and 47 yards to lead host Chewelah (2-6, 2-6) to a 35-20 win over Newport (0-8, 0-8). Mike Naccarato intercepted two passes for the Cougars. Eric Weidemier led the Grizzlies with 80 rushing yards and one touchdown.

Northeast 2B League

Jon Jayne ran for 104 yards on 14 carries and scored on a 3-yard run in the fourth quarter as Reardan (7-0, 6-0) knocked off host Liberty (6-2, 4-2) 42-20. Jake Ferderer added 65 rushing yards and four touchdowns for the Indians, who remain atop the league standings. … Justin Whitney led Lind-Ritzville with 158 rushing yards on 28 carries and scored two touchdowns as the Broncos beat visiting Republic 28-12. Tyler Bruegeman added 142 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Lind-Ritzville (5-2, 5-2). John Palmire ran for both of the Tigers (3-3, 3-3) touchdowns. … Davenport (7-1, 5-1) raced out to a 27-8 first-quarter lead en route to a 35-14 win over host Wellpinit (3-5, 2-4). The Gorillas took over sole-position of second place in the league standings. … Bryce Hubbard caught a TD pass and ran for another as Wilbur-Creston (2-6, 2-5) blanked visiting Selkirk (1-5, 1-5) 33-0. Nick Tonasket and Ben Lembcke added rushing touchdowns for the Wildcats and Seth Anderson added a 55-yard punt return for a score in the first quarter.

Martin St. John ran for 166 yards on 13 carries and scored three touchdowns to guide Columbia (5-3, 4-1) to a 48-6 win over visiting Cusick (2-6, 1-4) at Hunters. Lions quarterback Dustin Stringfellow finished with 180 yards on 8-of-12 passing and threw four touchdowns in the win. … In other league action, Curlew rushed for 383 yards and finished with 541 total yards as the Cougars topped Inchelium (0-8, 0-5) 60-12 in Curlew. Austin Mannick led the Cougars (3-3, 2-3) with 153 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Brandon Gregory added 93 rushing yards and one touchdown and also returned a punt 40 yards for a score in the second quarter. … Almira/Coulee-Hartline quarterback Greg Giese ran for 209 yards on 19 carries and scored twice to lead the Warriors past host Entiat 60-22.
