Tag, you’re it – A report that a school in Massachusetts has banned tag and touch football is raising some eyebrows among members of The Spokesman-Review’s Parents’ Council.

One quipped: “Are risk management officers going to micromanage our lives until we all hide away in a big padded room?” while another added this comment: “I would love for someone to explain to me the banning of tag at recess. I am all about safety, but this seems way over the top.”

Walking to school – Is it safe for young children to walk to and from school by themselves? Excerpted from one comment: “Allowing small children to walk so far by themselves is like playing Russian roulette…”

Auditions for “Where’s Alice?” – Theater Arts for Children is holding auditions tonight at 6:30 p.m. for its production of “Alice Through the Looking Glass.” Actors ages 5 and up are needed.
