Interstate Fair will open Friday

The Spokane County Interstate Fair opens Friday and continues through Sept. 17.

Entertainment, carnival rides, food, animals, PRCA rodeo and business exhibits are among the highlights at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, 404 N. Havana St.

Grandstand performances include 10,000 Maniacs and The Oakridge Boys. A demolition derby is scheduled for Sept. 16 and 17.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday through Sept. 16 and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept 17. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and youths ages 7-13. For more information, call 477-1766.
