Welcome Home!

Cheryl-anne Millsap cam@spokesman.com

Well, it’s over.

The long, slow, days of summer have given way to a quicker pace. For many of us, September means it’s time to go back to work, back to school and back to the familiar routine. Relaxing on the patio has been replaced by packing lunchboxes while you wait for that last load of laundry to dry, getting the garden ready for the first frost and weekends spent tackling the last of the season’s home-improvement projects between soccer games.

Things are equally busy here at HOME.

Editor Pia Hansen is off on a journalistic adventure to Africa for the next few weeks, and I’ll be filling in for her. And, as always, we’ll bring you great tips and ideas for living well.

This week, from the newest high-tech goodies for the home toolbox, to everything you need to know about rewiring your kitchen, we’ve got you covered.

And, as always, we want to hear from you.

Got a great do-it-yourself project you’d like to share? Let us know. Does your neighbor have the prettiest backyard on the block? Give us a call.

Let us know what you think. If there’s something you’d like to see in HOME, we want to know about it.

Making a home is all about making the space around you reflect your own style; your personality. It doesn’t matter if you live in a 400-square-foot studio apartment or a 4,000-square-foot designer showplace.

I hope that somewhere between the covers of this week’s issue you’ll find exactly what you need – the right tools, so to speak – to make your home your own.
