Heads or tails?

» It's time for the annual dilemma that strikes Valley residents on the third weekend of September. Do you attend the Southeast Spokane County Fair or Valleyfest?

» The 62nd annual Southeast Spokane County Fair in Rockford includes all the must haves: animals, food, games and a parade. Today's schedule begins with a breakfast from 7-10 a.m. at the fire station, a children's parade at 10:15 and the grand parade at 10:30. Activities will continue until 8 p.m. Hours for the fair on Sunday are 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

» The fairgrounds are just off the town's main drag, Emma Street, near Rock Creek. Admission is free.

Rally Race

» The cars will be speeding down Skipworth today and Sunday, but there's no need to call the police. It's time for the Spokane Soap Box Derby Fall Rally Race. Races will begin at 10:30 a.m. today and 9:30 a.m. Sunday on Skipworth between 20th and 24th avenues. The event is free for spectators.
