Tiara Pittman scored in the seventh minute and Brittany Urso added a goal in the 60th minute as Mt. Spokane (4-1, 2-0) knocked off East Valley (2-3, 2-1) 2-1 in Greater Spokane League action Friday at Mt. Spokane.
Wildcats goalkeeper Kalie Phillipy made several key second-half saves. Nicole McCloskey and Chelsea Jones each contributed an assist for Mt. Spokane.
Also in the GSL, Gonzaga Prep had an own goal to give host Ferris (6-1, 3-0) a 1-0 win over the Bullpups. Gonzaga Prep (3-3-1, 1-2) took a corner kick in the 62nd minute that went in front of the goal and was deflected by a Bullpups player into the far side of the net.
