City plans to sell several properties

The city of Spokane is seeking to sell parcels of property declared surplus Monday by the Spokane City Council.

The properties are located throughout the city and were acquired mostly to allow for street projects and other public improvements, the majority of which have been completed.

•A 2,700-square-foot parcel on sloped land near 1724 E. 18th Ave. that consists of half of a vacated right of way.

•An individual parcel of 5,200 square feet at Washington Street and Maxwell Avenue acquired by the city as part of a widening of Washington.

•A sloped strip of land with 60,000 square feet overlooking Latah Creek at 724 S. Chestnut St. It is west of Chestnut Street between Seventh and Ninth avenues.

•Two vacant individual parcels of about 14,000 square feet at 1333 E. Charleston Road in the vicinity of Cheney-Spokane Road.

•A 21,000-square-foot parcel at 2116 E. Lincoln Road with a 1991 ranch-style home and outbuilding purchased for a project on North Crestline Street.

•A 7,100-square-foot parcel at 2428 E. Third Ave. that was deeded to the city in lieu of foreclosure.

•A 5,100-square-foot parcel at 3026 W. Seventh Ave. that was acquired by the city for improvements to Government Way in 1984.

•A 42,000-square-foot property with a 1939 house and two outbuildings at 7402 N. Crestline St. It will be held by the city until an ongoing project on Crestline is finished.

•A parcel with four platted lots totaling 24,000 square feet at 3127 W. Hartson Ave. near Government Way.

•Two parcels of 20,000 square feet with three platted lots at 2526 and 2608 W. Sunset Blvd.
