Week in review
Fire District 8 – The district has resolved the issue with the Mica Gun Range, which was ordered closed after an incendiary round started a fire. A letter was sent requiring the range to have firefighting tools on hand. The use of military surplus ammunition at the range has been banned. The range is now open. Fire District 13 (Newman Lake) – The district will install a fire hydrant for training purposes at Moffat and Starr roads. The renovation of Station 2, which includes new siding and insulation, is nearly complete. (Source: Secretary Kathleen Small)
