Area roundup: Vandals’ Butler pleads not guilty
University of Idaho football player Jevon Butler has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor battery charge stemming from an early-morning incident Saturday in Moscow.
According to police, Butler and two others allegedly stopped the car in which they were traveling, stepped out and hit two men who were walking alongside E Street. One of the victims went to the hospital and was treated for a possible concussion, police said. Butler and the two others then drove away, but they were arrested about an hour later after police received a tip from a resident who overheard them talking about the incident and noticed them changing their shirts, police said.
