Dump passes offered free
If your garage is getting full of stuff you’d rather take to the dump and you live in the Northwest area of Spokane, you are in luck.
The Northwest Neighborhood Association will offer 200 free dump passes valued at $25 to neighborhood residents.
The passes will be good April 21 until April 29.
The association will distribute the passes at the Northwest COPS Shop, 2215 W. Wellesley Ave., Suite D. One hundred passes will be distributed Saturday at 10 a.m.; the remainder will be distributed Monday at 10 a.m.
Anyone interested in receiving a dump pass should bring a driver’s license or a utility bill as proof of residence in the Northwest neighborhood.

Paving OK’d for Magnolia St.
The Spokane City Council finalized a neighborhood street-improvement projects Monday for Magnolia Street from Nebraska Avenue to Central Avenue.
Owners of 35 parcels will split $110,247 after about $75,000 from grants and street bond money was subtracted from the cost.
The paving project is being financed through the city’s local improvement district program.
The approval finalizes the cost to property owners along the newly paved streets.

Join tea with Lilac princesses
Here’s your little girl’s chance to meet some real-life princesses.
The Spokane Lilac Festival Association will hold a Royal Tea Party for parents and their little girls Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Davenport Hotel, 10 S. Post St. Guests will be joined by the festival’s 2007 Royal Court.
Girls should dress in their Sunday best for tea and can have their pictures taken with the court. There will be child-friendly entertainment as well.
There will be a raffle for girls ages 4 to 9 who can win a chance to ride with the Royal Court during the Junior Lilac Parade.
