Water safety class planned

Basic water safety instruction will be offered Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Mountain Gear, 2002 N. Division St., in a class sponsored by Mountain Gear and the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department.

The class will prepare and educate students about using the area’s rivers and lakes. A drawing will be held for personal floatation devices for students 18 and younger.

The class is free, but registration is required in order for enough handouts to be prepared for everyone.
