Track and field

Kosei Imamura won the pole vault with a height of 13 feet and finished second in the 110-meter hurdles (16.7 seconds) as host Lewis and Clark beat Ferris and Rogers in a Greater Spokane League three-way meet Thursday at Hart Field.

Ferris’ Saxons topped the Pirates 112-32 in the other dual.

On the girls’ side, Kelly McNamee won the 100 hurdles (16.3) and the 300 hurdles (48.0) and Tawnya Romanchuk took the discus (114-9) and shot put (41-11) as Ferris topped LC and Rogers. The Tigers beat the Pirates 136-13.

Elsewhere in the GSL, Sam Damiano won the shot put (36-1) and discus (126-5) as the Mt. Spokane girls beat Central Valley and Gonzaga Prep in a three-way meet at Mt. Spokane. G-Prep beat the Bears 90-59 in the other dual. For the boys, Sean Coyle placed first in the 1,600 (4:29) and 3,200 (9:46), helping CV to wins over Mt. Spokane and G-Prep. Jared Ryan won the long jump and high jump for Mt. Spokane, which topped the Bullpups 93-52 in the other dual. … Leon Dean won the 800 (2:00.3) and finished second in the 1,600 (4:25.3) as the North Central boys beat visiting East Valley and Shadle Park. EV’s Knights topped the Highlanders 79-65 in the other dual. For the girls, Jordan Carlson won the 100 (12.3) and 200 (25.6) and Brynn DeLong took the 100 hurdles (15.3) and 300 hurdles (46.2) as Shadle beat NC and EV. The Indians edged the Knights 77-73 in the other dual. … Mead’s boys and girls topped host University in a dual. Dan Taylor won the triple jump (39-7) and finished second in the long jump (19-4) as the boys won 97.5-47.5. On the girls’ side, Ashley Hutchinson won the shot put (41-7.25) and the discus (123-4) as Mead won 111-39.

Jesus Fregoso won the 100 and 200 and Griffon Jones took the shot put and discus as the Cheney boys topped Clarkston and Colville in a Great Northern League three-way meet at Cheney High School. Fregoso finished the 100 in 10.8 seconds. Colville beat Clarkston 85-40 in the third dual. On the girls’ side, MaKenzie Lauber won the 100 hurdles (16.6) and the long jump (16-5) as the host Blackhawks cruised past Colville and Clarkston. The Indians edged the Bantams 76-59 in the other dual. … Also in the GNL, West Valley’s boys and girls beat host Riverside in a dual. Justin Degenhardt won the 1,600 (4:48) and the 3,200 (10:09) as the boys won 103.5-41.5. For the girls, Alyssa Wold won the high jump (5-0) and javelin (105-2) and Krystal Hughes took the 1,600 (5:54) and 3,200 (12:01) as WV won 90-58. … Nick Casselman won the 110 hurdles (15.3) and the 300 hurdles (40.38) as the Pullman boys topped Medical Lake and Deer Park in a three-way meet at Medical Lake. ML’s Cardinals topped the Stags 94-41 in the other dual. For the girls, Hafsah Al-Hassam won the 100 (13.38) and 200 (28.05) as Pullman beat Medical Lake and Deer Park. The Stags topped the Cardinals 94-52 in the other dual.

Softball

Sam Skillingstad (12-0) pitched a complete-game no-hitter while striking out 15 as Shadle Park routed visiting Mt. Spokane (5-8) 10-0 in six innings in the Greater Spokane League. Danielle Lynn hit a three-run home run in the second for the Highlanders. Shadle scored four runs in the first and led 8-0 after three innings. … Elsewhere in the GSL, Rachel Yuen went 2 for 3 and scored three runs as Mead topped host East Valley (4-8) 5-1. The Panthers scored twice in the top of the seventh to increase their lead to four runs. Melanie Mobley earned the win for Mead (9-4) after allowing six hits in the complete game. … Freshman Devann Burney hit an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth, giving Rogers a 5-4 win over visiting Ferris. The Pirates scored three runs in the first, but the Saxons (1-12) scored a run in the top of the seventh to tie it up. Mandy Carlon (4-4) earned the win for Rogers (5-8) after allowing nine hits in the complete game. … Michelle Wells went 2 for 2 with two runs and three RBIs as University topped visiting Central Valley 8-3. Ali Warren added two hits and three RBIs for the Titans (10-3), who scored four runs in the fifth to go ahead 7-3. Alexa Morales hit a two-run homer in the fifth for the Bears (7-6). … Alicia Kahler had four hits and four RBIs, leading North Central to a 12-7 win over visiting Gonzaga Prep (5-8). The Indians scored five runs in the fourth and sixth to put the game out of reach. Kelsey Vallies (9-1) picked up the win for NC (12-1).

Boys soccer

Adam Zakrzewski had a hat trick and Mitch Weller added two goals as Cheney blanked visiting Clarkston 5-0 in the Great Northern League. Zakrzewski now has 11 goals on the season. The Blackhawks (14-0, 10-0) outshot the Bantams (2-10, 2-9) 23-7. … Elsewhere in the GNL, Jeremy Tate scored two second-half goals and Lakeside blanked host Medical Lake 3-0. Cameron Martin scored the Eagles’ other goal in the 45th minute. Lakeside (9-2, 7-2) dominated the action, outshooting the Cardinals (7-7, 6-6) 15-6. … Tyler Bland scored the first three goals of the game as Riverside routed visiting Chewelah 8-0. Trevor Dornquast added a goal and four assists for the Rams (7-5, 6-4), who outshot the Cougars (1-11, 0-10) 20-5.
