Scheduling advice for baseball commissioner

Open letter to Bud Selig:

Bud, I note there are some difficulties with the early-season baseball schedule. It seems there are many rain/snow cancellations.

Now I have given this considerable thought, and I believe I have the answer. We schedule all the northern teams to open in the South, and to stay in the South until they have played all the teams in that area. Then, and only then, do we bring the southern teams up North to play.

Then, in the dog days of summer, when it is 100-plus in the south, the teams from that area will finish the regular season in the north. Now, what do you think of that?

P.S. Bud, a six-figure salary would get my attention, real quick. Think about it.
