Vandals move on to semifinals
The Idaho women’s tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the Western Athletic Conference championships Thursday with a 4-3 win over New Mexico State in Boise.
Three Vandals – Patricia Ruman, Efrat Leopold and Lauren Drew – won their singles matches while Ruman teamed with Mariel Tinnirello to win the No. 1 doubles match.
The fourth-seeded Vandals (16-8) will take on No. 1 Fresno State today.

Men’s golf
Washington senior golfer Alex Prugh (Ferris High) was named to the All-Pac-10 second team.
Prugh was a first-team selection last season and earned second-team honors in 2005. He was the Huskies’ top finisher in 10 of 11 tournaments this season and won his first collegiate tournament at the Oregon Duck Invitational March 26-27.
Women’s golf
Washington State’s Amy Eneroth (Mead High) was named to the All-Pac-10 second team following her 11th-place finish Wednesday at the Pac-10 championships in Seattle.
Eneroth led the Cougars with nine top-25 finishes this year.
Volleyball
Three junior college players have committed to play at Washington State next season.
Frances Sandor, a middle blocker from San Joaquin Delta College of Stockton, Calif., Amy Small (Pullman High), a setter from Walla Walla Community College, and Rachel Holbrook, an outside hitter from College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, Calif., will join the Cougars.
