NBC to interview comedy duo from Spokane

Luke Barats and Joe Bereta, Spokane’s video-comedy team, are scheduled to appear in an interview segment on NBC Nightly News Sunday at 5:30 p.m. on KHQ-6.

Frank Swoboda, who works with the duo at Corner Booth Productions in Spokane, said the interview will be about the Gonzaga University graduates’ unlikely route to prominence on YouTube.

It will also touch on their unusual response to landing a six-figure NBC deal last September. They chose not to head to Hollywood, but to stay in Spokane to develop the pilot.
