Washington man missing in Oregon

TOLLGATE, Ore. – Searchers spent Thursday looking for an 85-year-old man who went missing at the Target Meadows campground in the Umatilla National Forest.

Deward Killion, of College Place, Wash., was last seen Wednesday at 5 p.m. Dawn Blalack, spokeswoman for Umatilla County Emergency Management, says crews searched for Killion until it got dark Thursday and will resume Friday morning.

The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office is getting help from Union, Wallowa, Baker and Morrow counties, and the Pendleton Air Guard.

Blalack says Killion had gone to the campground with his wife.

He wore a long sleeve shirt and dark blue pants.
