Fire District 2 (Fairfield) – No actions to report. (Source: Chief Adam Brannon)

Rockford City Council – Public hearings were held on an amendment to development regulations, a variance for a mobile home, and vacating a portion of Lake St. Council members approved the variance and development regulation changes. No action was taken on the street vacation.

Fire District 8 – Two new full-time firefighters were sworn in. Commissioner Ferraiuolo submitted a draft capital replacement program covering the next 25 years. Chief Walkup reported that the district’s insurance for buildings and equipment is up for renewal and he will be reviewing it. He also reported that the district is doing high fire staffing, which entails staffing an additional truck that roams around the district as needed. (Source: Administrative assistant Carol Trescott)
