In brief: See the redone West Valley

The Spokesman-Review

A community open house for remodeled West Valley High School is scheduled for 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The school is at 8301 E. Buckeye.

West Valley voters approved a $35 million construction bond in 2004 to remodel the high school and add classrooms and gymnasiums to the district’s four elementary schools. Elementary construction is under way.

Project manager Dave Smith said the project is on schedule and within budget, and the interest earned on the bond will be shifted to the elementary school projects.
