Deadline looms for comments
Kootenai County residents have until Sept. 6 to comment on the county’s Metropolitan Transportation Plan, which projects the area’s travel needs through 2030.
The plan can be downloaded at www.kmpo.net. For printed copies, call the KMPO at (800) 698-1927. Comments may be e-mailed to kmpo@kmpo.net or mailed to KMPO, 221 W. Sprague Ave., Suite 310, Spokane, WA 99201.
To comment by phone, call the agency at (800) 698-1927.
The plan is a “blueprint” for the region’s future transportation systems and services. Under federal law, metropolitan areas with more than 50,000 residents must create such plans and update them every four years.
