Attorney wanted in alleged attack
A Spokane attorney is wanted for failing to appear in court Friday on charges he choked, beat and threatened to shoot and kill a Spokane woman.
Dean Edward White, 41, is accused of attacking his victim Nov. 7.
According to court documents, the woman told police that White forced her head down onto the dash of the car as the two drove toward State Line, Idaho, to meet friends. On three occasions, he pulled over to choke her into unconsciousness, she said.
The woman alleges White then changed his mind and returned to the office where he and the woman worked. There, she told authorities, he forced her inside, beat her, forced her to her knees and touched the barrel of a loaded gun to her head, saying he should kill her.
Police reported seeing multiple scrapes on the woman and clumps of hair that had been pulled from her head.
White hasn’t been seen at his home on the 1900 block of East 12th Avenue for several days, according to a Spokane police statement. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous and ask that anyone with information call 911.
White is 6 feet tall, 190 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes. Police say he drives a red 2000 GMC pickup with Washington plates A472011.
