Arizona’s Olson files for divorce
Arizona basketball coach Lute Olson is getting divorced.
He filed a divorce petition in Pima County Superior Court on Thursday, the same day the 73-year-old coach said he would extend his leave from the team through the end of the season, Olson’s lawyer, Leonard Karp, said Friday.
He said Christine Olson (above), the Hall of Fame coach’s second wife, is still living in Tucson. He did not know if she would remain in the city or if Olson was in Tucson on Friday.
Olson said he plans to return to coach the Wildcats for the 2008-09 season.

Woods’ wife wins lawsuit
The wife of golfer Tiger Woods won $183,250 and an apology from an Irish magazine that published an abusive article and a faked nude photo of her.
Trevor White, publisher of The Dubliner, conceded that the article – published in September 2006 when Ireland was hosting the Ryder Cup – “was cheap, tasteless, and deliberately offensive. It was also completely untrue.”
The article visibly angered Woods during the opening day of competition, which the United States lost to Europe.
Nordegren Woods said she would donate the money to a cancer charity in honor of Heather Clarke, the wife of Northern Ireland golfer Darren Clarke. She died of cancer before the Ryder Cup tournament.
