Valley Fire – Deputy Fire Marshal Clifton Mehafffey made a presentation on what areas of the district voted for the recent levy lid lift. The number of calls is up 9.1 percent over this time last year. Commissioners voted to approve a revised ethics policy and passed a resolution to waive the competitive bid process for the remodel of a conference room in Station 1. They also passed a resolution to declare an old pumper truck and other equipment surplus. An executive session was held to discuss property negotiations. (Source: Administrative Director Debbie Cox)

Fairfield City Council – A representative from Northwest Industrial Service made a proposal for garbage service for the town. Council members requested more detailed information. A New Year’s Eve Party is being planned to raise money to refurbish the Community Center. The town was notified that it did not get a Transportation Improvement Project grant for sidewalk improvements. Council members discussed a proposed contract with Fire District 2, which wants to raise the rates by 2.5 percent. The town is currently looking for a part time maintenance worker. Rockford City Council – Council members discussed new subdivision regulations being considered by the Planning Commission. They also discussed what Spokane County Park Department grants to apply for. (Source: Town Clerk)

Liberty Lake SCOPE – Elections were held, but no one ran for president or vice president. The organization is being run by the board. The volunteers also had a small holiday celebration. (Source: Rob Hill)
