Kyla Evans scored a game-high 22 points and Sydney Benson added 11 points and 10 rebounds to guide the Eastern Washington women’s basketball team to a 73-57 non-conference victory over Great Falls on Saturday at Reese Court in Cheney.

Benson also had seven steals to tie the school record, which is held by five different players.

The Eagles’ bench outscored Great Falls’ bench 17-4.

Jocelyn Moore had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead UGF.

EWU improved to 3-7 on the season.

“Sonya Rogers led four players in double figures with 16 points and Montana downed Idaho 77-52 in a non-conference game at Dahlberg Arena in Missoula.

Tamara Guardipee had 12 points and Laura Cote and Sarah Ena each added 10 for the Lady Griz.

Yinka Olorunnife had 11 points to lead the Vandals.

Idaho fell to 0-10 while Montana improved to 6-3.

“Ashlee Michelson scored 29 points on 10-of-12 shooting to guide CC Spokane to a 74-59 win over Skagit Valley (4-3) at the Whatcom Crossover at Whatcom Community College.

Liz Beardslee added 15 points for the Sasquatch (8-3), who advance to play Umpqua in today’s championship.
