Community-Minded Enterprises – A volunteer is needed to serve as research specialist for this growing agency. Duties include researching various organizational practices and implementing new projects. Contact La Troya Spencer at 209-2616.

Spokane AARP Tax-Aide Program – Volunteers are needed to provide assistance and tax preparation services to low- and middle-income tax payers. Interested participants will be trained in the fall in order to volunteer during traditional tax season, January to April. Volunteers will receive free comprehensive tax training and will be reimbursed on a limited basis for qualified program-related expenses. Tax training and certification are encouraged, but are not required. Contact Stephanie Blumhagen at 838-6581, ext. 112.

Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation – Volunteers are needed to sell raffle tickets to the general public Saturday-Monday at Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream at Riverpark Square. Raffle proceeds will benefit critically ill children requiring care in local hospitals. Contact Susan Faltermeyer at 474-2810.
