Valley Fire – The newly re-elected commissioners were sworn in. Commissioners discussed the first reading of a proposed ordinance to change the language in the fire chief recruitment policy. Fairfield City Council – Council members discussed the Community Center and approved a bid to begin electrical work. They also approved a two-year contract with Fire District 2, which contains a 2.5 percent increase to $21,283 per year. The council also voted to approve the 2008 budget and to amend the 2007 budget.
