Panthers cruise past LC

Brendan Ingebritsen scored a game-high 27 points as Mead jumped ahead early and cruised past Lewis and Clark 68-44 in a Greater Spokane League game Saturday at Mead.

The Panthers outscored the Tigers 21-6 in the first quarter and led 43-22 at halftime.

Bo Tully added eight points for Mead, which forced LC into committing 23 turnovers.

Alex Gauper led LC with 17 points.

The Panthers improved to 2-5 while the Tigers fell to 2-3.

Kenny Stuart scored a game-high 20 points and Jeremiah Big Spring added eight points and seven rebounds to lead Kellogg (3-4, 1-0) to a 47-44 Intermountain League victory over visiting St. Maries (4-4, 1-1). Josh Masterson tossed in 17 points and Aaron Corsi added 10 for the Lumberjacks, who outscored the Wildcats 18-5 in the third quarter to erase an 11-point halftime deficit.

Jamie Stevenson scored a game-high 19 points and Matt Saetre added 12 as Lind-Ritzville routed Odessa 61-36 in a Bi-County League game in Lind. Alex Pfeifer and Cory Whitmore added eight points apiece for the Broncos (8-1, 5-1), who outscored the Tigers 17-6 in the third quarter to take a 23-point lead into the fourth. Travis Todd had eight points and 11 rebounds to guide Odessa (3-4, 1-4).

Adam Roberts scored a game-high 21 points and Beaux Martin added 12 as LaCrosse-Washtucna (3-4) beat host Prescott 50-38 in a non-league game.

Justin Mills and Jake Weimer scored 16 points apiece to lead Priest River to a 68-58 victory over Bonners Ferry (5-5) in the championship game of the Priest River Tournament. J.P. Ramsey tossed in 11 points and Weimer added a game-high nine rebounds for the Spartans (5-4), who led 41-29 at the half. The Badgers’ Aaron Hoisington scored 12 of his team-high 13 points in the first half. … Also at the tournament, Jared Broggi’s free throw with just less than a minute left gave Clark Fork a 44-43 victory over Newport in the game for third and fourth places. Mike Martin scored 18 points and Broggi finished with 12 to lead the Wampus Cats (5-2). Willie Hunt paced the Grizzlies (2-6) with a team-high 12 points.
