In brief: Reforested Spokane planted 110 trees

The Spokesman-Review

The Spokane Parks Foundation reported recently that its Reforest Spokane Trust Fund paid for planting nearly 110 trees at a value of $23,000 in 2007.

The fund was established to restore the city’s stands of trees in parks and along other public areas following an ice storm in 1996 that caused extensive damage to trees in the region. The program is funded through individual, corporate and agency donations.
