Women’s hoops: Stanford routs WSU
Candice Wiggins had 14 points, five rebounds and three assists in limited time to help Stanford beat Washington State 105-47 in the Pac-10 opener for both teams Friday night in Stanford, Calif.
Freshman Kayla Pedersen added 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists for Stanford (11-1).
Alexa Price had a team-high nine points for the Cougars (3-9).
“Ashley Walker scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Alexis Gray-Lawson and Devanei Hampton added 12 points apiece as No. 11 California beat Washington 66-40 in Berkeley, Calif., in both teams’ Pac-10 opener.
Sara Mosiman led the Huskies with 12 points.
Cal improved to 10-2 while Washington fell to 5-8.

Danika Lawson chipped in 13 points and Shaneya Valdez added 12 for the Cardinals (8-2).
