AREA ROUNDUP : Former Ute defensive lineman joins Shock lineup

The Spokane Shock of arenafootball2 Thursday announced the addition of defensive lineman Marquess Ledbetter to their roster.

Ledbetter, 6-foot-2 and 265 pounds, started 12 games – including the Fiesta Bowl – for the University of Utah which went undefeated in 2005. Despite fighting injuries, Ledbetter had 76 tackles and 9 1/2 sacks.

The Shock’s roster stands at 13.

Former Shock defensive lineman Neil Purvis signed an Arena Football League contract with the Nashville Kats, the Shock reported.
