Elk biologist to speak at UI about research
Renowned elk biologist Jim Peek will discuss his years of research on central Idaho wildlands Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. at the University of Idaho Law School courtroom in Moscow, Idaho.
Peek, professor emeritus of wildlife resources at the University of Idaho, will share data from his decades of field research in the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness and surrounding areas.
Peek has studied the intricate relationships among wolves, elk, deer and sheep, and the ways these populations are shaped by snow, drought, predation and fire.
The law school courtroom is located near the corner of Sixth and Rayburn. The talk is free and open to the public.
