Chiefs game to promote breast cancer awareness
The Spokane Chiefs will be working to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer Saturday at 7 p.m. during their game against Portland at the Arena.
The ice will be pink, and the players will wear pink laces on their skates and pink ribbons on their helmets, and their sticks will have pink tape on them.
Covey Run Winery will donate $500 to the Eastern Washington Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
There also will be a silent auction of Chiefs memorabilia, and supporters can get a $2 ticket discount. The foundation will receive $1 for each group ticket sold.
