Wolski, Sakic lead Colorado past Nashville
Wojtek Wolski scored two goals and Joe Sakic added three assists to lead the Colorado Avalanche to a 5-3 win over the Nashville Predators on Monday in Nashville, Tenn.
Milan Hejduk, Andrew Brunette and Ossi Vaananen also scored for Colorado, which snapped a three-game losing streak.
Jason Arnott scored a pair of goals, one on the power play, for Nashville. Alexander Radulov also scored.
Coyotes 3, Capitals 2: At Washington, Owen Nolan had a goal and an assist in Phoenix’s three-goal first period, and the Coyotes beat Washington for their third straight win.
Mikael Tellqvist made 30 saves for Phoenix, which has won four of its last five after struggling throughout the first half of the season.
Thrashers 3, Senators 2 (OT): At Ottawa, Slava Kozlov scored his second goal of the game 1:48 into overtime to lift Atlanta over the Senators.
Thrashers leading scorer Marian Hossa got his third assist of the game against his former teammates on Kozlov’s overtime winner.
Sabres 3, Islanders 1: At Buffalo, N.Y., Ryan Miller made 29 saves and Maxim Afinogenov had a goal and an assist to give the Sabres a win over New York.
Paul Gaustad and Jochen Hecht also scored for the Sabres, who have won five of their last six. Buffalo beat the Islanders for the sixth consecutive time.
Maple Leafs 5, Bruins 1: At Toronto, Mats Sundin scored twice and added an assist to lead the Maple Leafs to victory over Boston.
