Boys basketball

Shane Miller scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Moscow topped visiting La Grande (Ore.) 68-54 in a non-league game on Saturday.

Paul Wimer added 20 points for the Bears (8-2), who outscored La Grande 24-15 in the second quarter to take a 42-33 lead into halftime.

Anthony Williams added 12 points for Moscow.

Cody Smith scored 15 points, leading Priest River (8-4, 1-0) to a 67-45 Intermountain League win over visiting St. Maries (3-5, 0-1). Daniel Lucas added 13 points for the Spartans, who outscored the Lumberjacks 24-5 in the second quarter to take a 33-19 lead into halftime. Josh Masterson scored 14 points to lead St. Maries. … Elsewhere in the IML, A.J. Bennett led four players in double figures with 14 points as Bonners Ferry (9-4, 1-1) topped visiting Timberlake (3-7, 0-1) 67-61. Cody Jones scored a game-high 18 points and Logan Cook added 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Tigers.

Richie Mullenburg scored a team-high 10 points and Warren Weil added seven points and 10 rebounds as Deer Park (4-5, 1-2) beat Riverside (4-5, 1-2) 52-43 in a Great Northern League game. Nick Davis and Kevin McNeil scored nine points apiece for the Stags, who led 27-16 at halftime. Kris Wise led the Rams with 12 points. … JT Levenseller scored 23 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, as Pullman (4-5, 3-0) edged host Colville (4-4, 1-2) 75-74. Alias Prouty scored 15 points to lead the Indians, who missed on three opportunities to win it late in the game.

Girls basketball

Becky Lowther scored 14 points and Camille Robertson added 13 as Bonners Ferry (7-7, 2-1) beat visiting Timberlake (4-8, 1-1) 53-24 in an Intermountain League game. The Badgers put the game away after halftime, outscoring the Tigers 33-15 in the second half. … Elsewhere in the IML, Tabitha Clark scored 22 points, leading Priest River (11-4, 2-1) to a 64-52 win over visiting St. Maries (3-11, 0-4). The Spartans started out well, outscoring the Lumberjacks 26-10 in the first quarter. Darbie Shelden tallied 14 points to lead St. Maries.

Amanda Seeling scored 18 points and Katie Dumont added 13, helping Kellogg (14-0) stay undefeated with a 55-45 non-league win over host Orofino. The Wildcats took control in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Maniacs 14-5. Capri Savage tallied a game-high 22 points for Orofino.

Jessica Thomas scored 12 points and Pullman came alive in the second half and beat host Colville 62-31 in a Great Northern League game. Anna Albrecht added 10 points for the Greyhounds (9-0, 3-0), who outscored the Indians (1-7, 0-3) 37-9 in the second half. … Jolynn Wolf scored 13 points and Megan Roberts added 11 as host Deer Park topped Riverside 58-37. The Stags (3-6, 2-1) came out strongly after halftime, outscoring the Rams (4-4, 1-2) 22-6 in the third quarter. Shea Spicer led Riverside with 11 points.

“Roni Jo Mielke scored 23 points and Maria Rustemeyer added 15 points and 15 rebounds as Sprague-Harrington (10-1, 3-1) topped St. John-Endicott (6-6, 2-3) 63-49 in a Whitman County League game in Harrington.

Wrestling

Led by freshman Braden Mowry’s first-place finish in the 103-pound weight class, Coeur d’Alene took third place at the Rollie Lane Invitational in Nampa, Idaho. Jesse Nielsen (second, 152), Phil Howard (third, 171), Ian Turner (fourth, 215) and Jemery Zabel (fifth, 160) all finished in the top five in their weight classes for the Vikings. Danny Booth (sixth, 140) and Sam Berger (sixth, 112) medaled for Post Falls.
