Nevada standout Nick Fazekas will miss at least one game with a sprained ankle, the first game he’s missed in his stellar four-year career. Fazekas was injured in the first half against Boise State, but the Wolf Pack rallied late for a victory, much as they did against Gonzaga in Seattle on Dec. 30. … Sports Illustrated sent a reporter to Reno, Nev., last week to do an article on Fazekas. It’s expected to be in this week’s issue. … Home teams went 9-0 to open conference play. On the season, WAC teams are 51-11 at home. … New Mexico State and Fresno State received votes in the ESPN/USA Today poll. … After going 24-1 under coach Greg Graham, Boise State has dropped two straight games when scoring 80 or more points. … Idaho is the only WAC team to not have a player with a double-double. The Vandals also haven’t led a game at halftime this season.
