NBA: Nowitzki’s 43 ignite Dallas’ overtime win

Dirk Nowitzki scored 43 points, including three free throws in the final 5 seconds of overtime, to lift the Dallas Mavericks to a 115-113 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Friday night in Indianapolis.

Dallas became the first team to reach 30 wins this season with a 30-8 record.

Trail Blazers 95, Kings 87: At Portland, Zach Randolph scored 23 points and Brandon Roy and Dan Dickau added 11 points apiece to help Portland defeat Sacramento.

Lakers 109, Magic 106: At Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant scored 16 of his 28 points in the final 6:44 in leading Los Angeles over Orlando.

Bobcats 126, Knicks 110: At New York, Emeka Okafor had 20 points and a career-high 10 blocked shots and Charlotte topped New York.

Rookie Adam Morrison finished with eight points.

76ers 110, Bucks 97: At Philadelphia, Earl Boykins had 11 points and 11 assists in his Bucks debut, but it wasn’t enough as Philadelphia beat Milwaukee.

Hawks 99, Pistons 93: At Atlanta, Josh Smith, just back from a 2 1/2-week absence because of hernia surgery, hit a crucial 3-pointer with 10.7 seconds left to help Atlanta hold on for a victory over Detroit.

Raptors 95, Celtics 86: At Boston, Chris Bosh scored 27 points to lead Toronto to a victory over Boston, which dressed only nine players.

Timberwolves 116, Grizzlies 110: At Memphis, Tenn., Kevin Garnett had 28 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks and Minnesota defeated Memphis.

Hornets 104, Wizards 97: At Oklahoma City, Desmond Mason scored 22 points and converted a late three-point play to help New Orleans hold off Washington.

Heat 118, Warriors 96: At Oakland, Calif., Dwyane Wade had 22 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists as Miami beat Golden State.

Rockets 90, Nuggets 86: At Denver, Shane Battier scored 25 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, and Houston defeated Denver.
