2 p.m. Wednesday, council briefing center, lower level of City Hall, agenda review and workshop at 2 p.m., public hearing on historic register applications at 3 p.m.

Spokane Valley City Council

6 p.m. Tuesday, Decades Meeting Place and Banquet Room, 10502 E. Sprague Ave., public meeting on a plan to extensively redevelop Sprague Avenue and surrounding land. Meeting will include recommendations on street design for Sprague and Appleway.

4:30 p.m. , Wednesday, Park Place Retirement Community, 601 S. Park Road, open house on drainage improvement projects schedule for the summer in the Beverly Hills neighborhood.

6 p.m. Thursday, Ponderosa Elementary, 10105 E. Cimmaron Drive, Conversation with the Community. Quarterly meetings give the public a more informal setting to discuss city issues with council members and city staff.

Spokane Regional Board of Health

12:30 p.m. Thursday, Public Health Center, 1101 W. College Ave., overviews of health district and environmental health issues.

Spokane County commission

9:30 a.m. Tuesday, commissioners’ hearing room, Public Works Building, 1026 W. Broadway Ave. Agenda includes discussion about proposal to extend the area required to have curbside recycling.

2 p.m. Tuesday, commissioners’ hearing room, Public Works Building.

5 p.m. Tuesday, commissioners’ hearing room, Public Works Building. Agenda includes consideration of moratorium on residential construction near the Spokane International Airport.
