Music podcasts stretch the entire spectrum. Quincy Essential Music is an eclectic trip through salsa, Latin, trip-hop and funk jazz. What you get is almost always cool music layered with electronic beats and elegant horn sections.

We don’t have a clue who mixes the weekly podcasts, but they have a smooth touch with a nice ear for unusual tunes.

The latest podcast is called Spaghetti Jazz-Funk, and it fits the description.

Artists and tunes included on that podcast are Stelvi Cipriani (“Grattacieli Di Vetro”), Loredana Berte (“Marrakech”) and Perigeo (“Via Beato Angelico”). It makes me want to visit some Roman nightclub and order vino rosso.
