The fawning over the strength of the Pac-10 continues on a national scale. ESPN.com’s latest NCAA bracket projections have six NCAA teams in, and USC coach Tim Floyd said he has eight teams on the radar for NCAA consideration. Pac-10 coaches seem to be expecting at least six to make it. … Josh Shipp’s availability will be a game-time decision tonight for UCLA as it takes on Arizona State. Shipp (hamstring) is on a strict new diet, however. Coach Ben Howland, convinced that the hamstring problems began with cramping issues, wants Shipp to start eating more bananas. … C.J. Giles hasn’t done much for Oregon State since his recent transfer. A sprained thumb for the former Kansas player has left him limited. … WSU fans aren’t surprised to see Stanford’s Anthony Goods get Pac-10 player of the week honors after he drilled a 3-pointer Saturday to beat the Cougars. Goods scored 49 points in two games.
