‘The Children’ from Uganda to perform at Prince of Peace
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8441 N. Indian Trail Road, is presenting Watoto Children’s Choir Tuesday at 7 p.m. and Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Watoto, which means “the children,” is from Kampala, Uganda, and made of children who have lost one or both of their parents to war or to the AIDS virus.
The group has traveled the United States, Great Britain and Canada to perform contemporary gospel music, ethnic dance and African rhythms.
Admission is free, and the group will accept free-will donations.

“The Spokane Buddhist Temple, 927 S. Perry St., is presenting Bhante Seelawimala Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Seelawimala will speak on the topic “Your Spiritual Path.” He is a Therevada monk from Sri Lanka who is an adjunct professor at the Institute of Buddhist Studies in Berkeley, Calif.

“St. Francis Xavier and St. Patrick parishes are presenting speaker Mark Shea on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the auditorium of St. Francis Xavier Parish, 545 E. Providence Ave.
