This girl is as nice as she is beautiful. Shantel was brought to the shelter Jan. 1, when her owners moved and could not take her. She’s a high energy, happy dog that gets enjoyment out of just being with people. Shantel’s temperament test finds her to be good with dogs and OK with cats. Her energy level might be a little too much for small children and older dogs, but she is food-motivated and very eager to please so she would be easy to train to calm down.

She would do best in an active home with people willing to give her some gentle, positive but clear instruction. Her previous owners said she is housebroken, likes to ride in cars and good with kids.

Meet Shantel at the Humane Society of Spokane, 6607 N Havana St. The telephone number is 467-5235. Adoption fees are $95 and include spay, vaccinations, microchip and vet check. The Humane Society is open seven days per week.
