Sara Desmond has been hired as an advanced registered nurse practitioner in the Rockwood Clinic nephrology department. She holds a master’s degree in nursing from the Washington State University Intercollegiate College of Nursing in Spokane. She is a certified family nurse practitioner.

The Spokane County Air Pollution Control Authority has awarded Huntwood Industries of Liberty Lake with the 2007 Clean Air Award. The award is given in recognition of a commitment to reduce air emissions.

APPOINTED Jennifer West has been appointed to the Inland Northwest Bank board of directors. West is the chief operating officer of Hill and Knowlton Northwest.

GIFTS Junior Achievement of the Inland Northwest has received a $500 Allstate Foundation grant. The grant was given in recognition of Allstate agent Roy Edwards, who received the “Agency Hands in the Community” award for volunteering in the community.
