1968 Chevelle Malibu 4-Door 307

Name: Larry Coffield, 59, Spokane.

Purchased: In 2006 for $300 or else the owner was going to scrap it.

Why I love it: I like this car because I’ve previously owned a 1968 Chevelle S.S. and a 1968 El Camino. I really like the ‘68 body style. My grandkids love going for rides in “Papa’s Malibu.” They also picked out the color scheme — black and yellow — from a 1971 Chevelle in a Super Chevy Magazine.

My next car will be: Another 1968 Chevelle S.S. 396, because I had to trade my first one in on a family car back in 1972.
