Sex offender in Airway Heights

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is warning Airway Heights residents that a level 3 sex offender moved to town. Elisha Lavone Showell, 24, has been convicted of two counts of third-degree child rape.

Both crimes occurred in Spokane County, one involving a 15-year-old girl and the other a 13-year-old girl. Showell was in prison, but according to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, he refused treatment while there. He is now under Department of Corrections supervision until June 2008.

Showell lives in the 13500 block of West 12th Avenue. He is 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. Three tattoos are on his shoulder. They are “XIV,” “DOF” and “MLL.
