Diamondbacks 3, Cubs 2: At Chicago, Stephen Drew homered to snap an eighth-inning tie and Orlando Hudson had three hits, sending Arizona to a victory over the Cubs.

Nationals 3, Rockies: At Washington, Felipe Lopez homered to lead the Nationals over Colorado. Pinch-hitter Tony Batista singled to drive in two runs in the seventh.

Giants 8, Brewers 0: At Milwaukee, Tim Lincecum pitched four-hit ball for eight innings, Pedro Feliz homered and drove in three runs and San Francisco beat the Brewers.

Dodgers 8, Mets 6: At Los Angeles, Brad Penny (12-1) allowed four runs and six hits in 6 1/3 innings to earn his 12th win of the season and guide the Dodgers over New York.

Marlins 11, Reds 1: At Miami, Hanley Ramirez hit a three-run home run and Jason Wood and Matt Treanor hit consecutive homers to help Florida beat Cincinnati.

Pirates 7, Astros 3: At Pittsburgh, Jason Bay and Adam LaRoche each drove in two runs and the Pirates won for the first time since the All-Star break, beating Houston.

Braves 14, Cardinals 6: At Atlanta, Willie Harris became the second player in Atlanta history with six hits in a game, going 6 for 6 with two triples and six RBIs to help the Braves beat St. Louis.

Phillies 12, Padres 4: At San Diego, Ryan Howard hit two home runs off David Wells, drove in five runs and scored three times to lead Philadelphia over the Padres.
