In brief: McIntosh Grange members winners

The Spokesman-Review

The McIntosh Grange was a smashing success at the Washington State Grange Convention held the last week of June in Moses Lake. Second-place finishes were achieved by the group in the Grange Hall Improvement Contest and in the 45 members or less Community Service Category. Each of these earned the Grange $300.

Grange members donated pillows and other personal toiletries for the Support Our Troops collection during the convention. Carol Evans won second place and $100 in the Youth Raffle.

Rachel Fricke did the honors as Washington State Junior Grange Master for the Junior program at the convention. Fricke tied second in her age group for creative writing. McIntosh is funding $25 of her camp fee at Bear Paw, as well as $25 of Kelsie Fricke’s fee. For more information on the camp contact Carol Evans at 535-1165.
