pinch turns 2, pleased to be serving you
Woo hoo! We’re two.
Every week – for two solid years! – pinch, a little bit of everything, has delivered a colorful collection of, well, everything. Quick stories about relationships, health, family, careers, and finances are just the beginning. If you’re into entertaining or tackling home improvement projects, you’ll like the new stories from HGTV and the DIY Network.
The cook in your home, or the enthusiastic eaters, will be happy to learn that you can now visit spokane.net/pinch to find printable versions of the recipes that run in our print product. You’ll also find over a year’s worth of past pinch editions, so if there’s a story or recipe you’ve been looking for, check spokane.net/pinch. The first Wednesday of every month relish magazine is delivered along with your pinch. This award-winning food publication also has a fantastic Web site, so if you’re still hungry for more, log onto relishmag.com.
OK, so we’ve helped you with your home projects, your finances are shaping up, all your family members are speaking with each other and you have a recipe for every occasion.
I think we’ve earned a little down time! The games and puzzles in pinch are a nice diversion from the daily grind – and there’s something for everyone. From the simple “Magic Maze” word search to sadistic “Sudoku,” it’s in here. Can’t figure out a five-letter word for “relief of tension” in the “Super Crossword?” Read one of our comics – “Out on a Limb” is a good one – and you’ll find the answer: L-A-U-G-H.
But we’re not all about fun and games. We also like to shop – which is serious business! So we make sure you have all the tools you need to be the savviest shopper on the block: Local grocery inserts that help you compare prices and plan menus; pages of Inland NW Classifieds to help you find a new job, a used car, or a cuddly pet; and great retail ads to point you in the right direction when you’re ready to buy. Does it ever end? We sure hope not.
We’re having a lot of fun with this and we know you are, too. In fact, a lot of you have made it to the big time! The “Here’s a Tip” and “Dear Donna” columns and the “Wordy Gurdy” game have all featured Spokane-area readers. Keep the good stuff coming!
The little bit of everything in pinch includes you. So, if you have a favorite recipe, a money-saving tip, a cool decorating idea … anything you think our pinch readers might find interesting, let us know.
We plan to be around for another two years. And two years after that. And … you get the idea. No one likes to get older alone. So keep in touch.
