No one was hurt, said Spokane police Officer Teresa Fuller. The robber escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
About 8:05 p.m., a man went into a Zip’s Drive-In, 3204 N. Monroe, wielding a knife and demanding cash from the employees, Fuller said. The man left through the restaurant’s south doors.
The suspect was described as white, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 with a full beard and yellowish-brown teeth, Fuller said.
The man was wearing a ski mask and a dark hooded sweatshirt.

Burglar at large after theft
A burglar remained at large Wednesday after employees at a North Side business saw him stealing a computer and driving off in his getaway car – a stolen Jaguar.
The man, who was dressed in black, walked out of Website Pros, 1425 N. Washington St., with at least one computer about 5:45 a.m., said Spokane police spokesman Cpl. Tom Lee. The employees tried to stop the burglar but backed off when the man said he had a gun.
The man is described as white, 35 to 40 years old, with shoulder-length black hair, Lee said.
The getaway car, which was reported stolen Sunday, is a 1999 beige and green Jaguar with a Washington plate of 882VVV.
Roadwork likely to cause delays
Motorists should anticipate delays today on two Spokane streets.
Grand Boulevard from 14th to 15th avenues will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 9 a.m. until evening. The lane closures are needed to repair a sewer line, according to city officials.
First Avenue between Monroe and Madison streets also will be reduced to one lane from 6 a.m. until evening. M & L Construction will be installing a sewer service and manhole, city officials said.
