Arrests follow restaurant fight
Two men were arrested Sunday afternoon after a fight in a Spokane Valley restaurant that stemmed from a rude comment followed by an indecent exposure.
Officers were called to the China Dragon, 4824 E. Sprague Ave., following a 12:30 p.m. fight Sunday, said Spokane Valley Police spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.
Investigation revealed that 37-year-old Christopher I. McLeod, 117 S. Greene St., had earlier asked a female patron in the bar to show him her bust. The woman was with her mother, who heard the request.
Both the woman and her mother protested McLeod’s comment, at which point he reportedly mooned them and then turned around and exposed his genitals. The women left and apparently reported the events to 48-year-old Willie Burbridge. Burbridge went to the bar, pushed a female bartender to the floor and began punching McLeod in the head while holding a knife. McLeod was not cut during the assault.
Officers arrested Burbridge on a charge of first-degree assault and McLeod on a charge of indecent exposure.
