Pride Parade, festival today

At least one lane will remain open along today’s annual Pride Parade route in downtown Spokane.

The parade, which is scheduled for noon to 1 p.m., begins at Wall Street between Spokane Falls Boulevard and Main Avenue. It will move south, turning left on Main Avenue, right on Stevens Street, right on Riverside Avenue and then right on Lincoln Street. It will circle back with a right on Main Avenue, a left on Howard Street, and a left onto Spokane Falls Boulevard.

The parade ends at the Gondola Meadows in Riverfront Park, near Wall Street and Spokane Falls Boulevard, which is the main entrance to the Rainbow Festival.

The festival runs noon to 6 p.m. and includes live stage entertainment, children’s activities, a baking contest, a flower design competition and the annual wedding ceremony.
