Best Fares: Hotels offering special summer deals

Hoteliers are rolling out deals for summer travel, with discounted rates, money off future stays, special perks and gasoline rebates:

“Travelers can save $100 off a future stay when they book a weekend stay at Marriott and pay with a Visa card. Qualifying stays must be booked by July 31, for travel through Sept. 2.

The offer is valid for stays at the Weekend Benchmark or Stay for Breakfast rate. Stays must include a Friday or Saturday night. Travelers will receive a Bonus Bucks coupon worth $100 toward weekend stays from Sept. 7 through Dec. 30. The coupon must be used with a two-night minimum stay.

“Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is offering summer rates starting at $105 per night for travel through Sept. 3. In addition, guests who book rooms by June 30 with an American Express card will receive a $50 food and beverage credit. The minimum stay is two nights.

“Stay three times this summer at participating Choice Hotels and earn enough points for a $50 gasoline gift card. Travel is valid June 1 through Aug. 16 for stays in the U.S., Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean.

The offer is available to members of the free Choice Privileges frequent-stay program. Members will receive 16,000 points after their third stay, which may then be redeemed for gas-station gift cards.
